How often is wasde report released?
The WASDE report is usually released at 12:00 noon Eastern Time on the 8th and 12th of each month.
What does wasde stand for?
The World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB) prepares and publishes the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE), a monthly report that provides annual forecasts for supply and use of wheat, rice, coarse grains, oilseeds, and cotton in the United States and around the world.
What are ending stocks?
Ending Stocks are the amount of corn in inventory or expected to be in inventory at the end of a marketing year (for example, August 31,19XX). Exports are the amount of grain that is exported to foreign destinations or is expected to be exported to foreign destinations during the marketing year.
What is the USDA report?
During the growing season (April to November), this report is published weekly, listing planting, fruiting, and harvesting progress, as well as the overall condition of selected crops in major producing states. The data, summarized by crop and state, is republished in the Weekly Weather and Crop Bulletin, along with any revisions.
Where can I find USDA reports?
In addition to this website, NASS data and reports are available through the Cornell University Mann Library website and e-mail report subscription service, the QuickStats database and API, and a JSON file for principal economic indicator data.
What time is crop report released?
Between the 9th and 12th of each month, the NASS Crop Production report and the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report are prepared simultaneously in a secure area and released at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
How do you calculate stock ratios?
Take the ending stock number and divide it by the total demand usage number (provided on the USDA report) to get the Stocks-to-Use ratio, which can then be expressed as a percentage.
What is crop carryout?
Carryout is the sum of all supply and demand variables; another way to think of it is the amount of grain or soybeans left over at the end of a marketing year, which often determines a general price level.
